I bought this to retire my original 96 Club car DS controller as I was installing a D&D 0002 high torque 16mph motor and MCOR4 throttle conversion. The factory setting of 50 on the throttle map made my cart lurch forward and the armature would seem to lock occasionally if I didn't feather the pedal perfectly. I bought a 1311-4401 programmer off Alibaba and once I set the throttle map to 20, I was able to creep again without the whiplash or lounging forward. The reverse problem workaround does work by detaching the black wire and jumpering the other two wires (green and red) on the outboard Forward/Reverse microswitch. However, even after using ghe programmer to set the reverse speed from 100 down to 40, reverse is still too fast IMO. If you can get by using your original non-programmable Curtis controller I would suggest that. If not, this unit stays relatively cooler than the original one.
