I have gotten mixed results with this controller:Audio CD authored by iTunes: PassVideo DVD authored by Final Cut Pro X (FCPX): Pass.Video Blu-ray authored by FCPX: Fail (Only reads 19MB)Data Blu-ray authored by Finder (Mac): PassVideo DVD produced by large studio: Fail (expected)Blu-ray produced by large studio: Fail (expected)My setup:-MacBook Pro, 15 inch, early 2011, MacOS X 10.8.2-Samsung Samsung SE-506AB Blu-ray burner-this Athena SATA CD/DVD/Blu Ray duplicator: A0111B (1 to 11), firmware: v1.02.31-LG Drives (WH14NS40) for the source and destination drives-Xcase 9 bay tower (E2222N-SATA - [...])I have been in communication with the seller, and I'm going to send them a Video Blu-ray that I've authored with Final Cut Pro X. Who knows, it may be my drive. I'll update this review when I know more.Update, 7 months later:I gave up working with the seller on upgrading firmware, etc. There were two people I emailed. One seemed like he was willing to help but wasn't very technical, the other was very technical, but seemed less willing to help. I had to decipher some of his emails, as well. His emails were not professional.I received in the mail today a new controller (Item does what it has been made for. Although the package includes only a little manual with some basical info, it doesn't include any detailed specifications about the product neither the type of connector it uses. I contacted the seller and they said it uses an AT power supply unit, not an ATX, otherwise it wouldn't work... And they said that having the case they sell was mandatory. Finally I bought an ATX power supply WITH DIRECT TURNING ON SWITCH and several SATA connectors. It worked like a charm, even with an old desktop case (and without the one they wanted to sell me). All in all, don't buy this if you are an amateur our you don't know what you are exactly buying; at least you know somebody that can help you to mount it. Otherwise buy a power supply with direct turning on switch and several sata connectors or the case they sell. Works great!I needed a duplicator control for a workhorse PC that burns 7 disks on weekly basis, sometimes more often...This is EXACTLY what I wanted and it has been working flawlessly for the last 4 months. Not a single bad disk! (I'm using the LG DVDRW drives that are roughly $20 a pop). I'm also using 2x "Silverstone Tek Four-in-One SATA Power Connectors" to power everything since I was a couple sata connectors short on a 650watt power supply. Going from a old IDE duplicator to this one was a breath of fresh air as well. No longer do I wonder "how many disks won't burn this time". The media I use is "100PK CDR Printable White MATTE48X Spindle". And again with this combo I've not had one bad disk come out. It may also help that I'm using a high quality seasonic power supply ;)Hope this helps those looking for a product like this.Purchased 4 of these at once.Got them in time and set them up with LG DVD-RW.Works great.A full DVD-R take about 6 minutes. None fail. No errors.A full DVD+R take about 15 minutes. And many fail.I only use -R so I have no trouble with these. If you use +R forget it. Not sure if its me or not, but more than 50% of +R go bad. 0% of -R go bad.awesomeBought & installed this as a replacement for the media unit at my church. It worked flawlessly with the old Duplicator Drives and burns slightly faster. Great product.i own 3 of this controllers. One of them 1 to 11 and the other 2 are 1 to 7.Ive used them do duplicate any format available. CD, DVD, Bluray, dvd dual layer.
