Everything you expect from victron. Install, update, and your up and running.Product is supposed to be excellent, however have not installed yet. Understand it will function far beyond my previous Morningstar equipment. We will see. Only wish it was dual battery capable to allow for a low % of charge to be funneled to second battery bank. This charger is not a Bluetooth charger. Sure you can buy a dongle for another $50 , but who wants to do that? The Bluetooth model of this is just $29 more for the built in BT. Without Bluetooth this unit has only 3 lights for charging. No screen or any way to indicate what has been going on. I get more information out of a $30 pwm... I'm returning this. The seller should be more forthcoming in the ad that this is not Bluetooth. My mistake for thinking that a Victron product labeled "Blue Solar" would not have Bluetooth, like all the other Victron products I have. They are both working well. Have had a couple hiccups with Bluetooth connectionThis controller almost seems to pull energy from clouds. I tried two Tracer Series MPPT controllers (10A RN and 20A BN series). They are good, but compared to this controller they are slow catching up with the rapidly changing cloud conditions in the Pacific North West near the Canadian border.Quick rundown on likes: - It rapidly finds the mpp, and seems to build local profiles to swap back to in rapidly changing conditions (from direct sun to dark rain and in the middle). - In a side by side test, this controller reliably harvests at least +10% more energy from my Lensun 80W 12V panels than either of my Tracer controllers. - It has a built in battery charging profiles you can select by dial - including one for LiFePO4 batteries. - The documentaiton is clear and in English. - The firmware upgrades installed quickly and flawlessly.Additional things that put this controller way over the top for me: - Victron ToolKit app for the complete listing of blink codes to let you know what program the controller is running on. The information is in the manual, but the animated app gave me great peace of mind to know I wasn't about to do damage to my LFP battery bank. (The setting dial has no indication of what setting it's turned to, so blink codes are the only way to know for sure.) It was handy to have the cable calculator to confirm wire sizes, run lengths and voltage loss. - The BlueTooth dongle. Not required since the lights on the controller clearly tell you if you're in blulk, absorption, or float mode. However if you're a freak/geek like me and want to see settings in detail, have peace of mind about your battery bank while the controller is in action, and monitor performance? It's well worth the price of admission. The power tracking is very fast!I purchased this controller to charge a bank of marine batteries. I have $1,500 worth of batteries purchased new from Walmart. The system has been correctly wired as I'm a very experienced electronics technician.I set the charge controller to the default setting as indicated by the manual for Flooded Marine batteries and as shown in the attached photo. It clearly states that flooded marine batteries are charged with this setting. In addition to this charge controller, I purchased the Battery Voltage Monitor and the Battery Bank Balancer. All were connected properly. I have checked the batteries for proper water levels on a monthly basis and have had no issues. They are kept in a clean, relatively cool place in my garage.About 3 weeks ago, the balancer started to go into an alarm condition. The BVM unit showed an increasing difference between the lower and upper banks of my 24V system.Upon having the alarm trip, I disconnected all of the batteries and then began conducting tests. As it turned out, the charger was NOT charging the bank to the equalization charge of 32V. I have been back and forth with Victron for many issues related to their product. I have performed software updates. I now have a battery bank that is completely destroyed.Victron says that it is all MY fault for the following reasons:1. I used the incorrect settings on the charger.2. I did not have discussions with my "dealer" - the seller on this page.I have not been able to get an address or telephone number of this "dealer."I had hoped that this equipment would be better than the Chinese units on the market and better supported. Sadly, this is not the case. Victron offers NOTHING to help me with the destroyed batteries.I will be taking this up with small claims court - if possible. It's fine just need it to communicate with my other Victron DevicesVictron has a great reputation but I'm very disappointed. How can this expensive, name brand solar charge controller not have a load dump relay output?ARE YOU KIDDING? Do you know how many hours I just spend solding my own PCB with an arduino to compensate for this product not having a damn pin!Victron you greedy %^&*(^% trying to upsell everything. If you want the basic function of a damn relay pin you need to spend 3 times more money. STUPID. It's a basic feature that all the cheap charge controllers have!.Installed and updated our solar-powered system. This mppt charge controller is easy to hook up and pretty simple to install. Wish it had a viewing screen on it but you can download an app to view how it's performing to your phone. The problem with this is I don't use my phone as an apps collector, and second thing is you can get the apps but you pay for it.The description is wrong, this is no a SmartSolar which has built in blue.tooth. This is the model without bluetooth. I contacted the seller about this but the listing is still incorrect.
